1.Who we are
Pleasant Life Chapel International, together with The Soul Factory Ministries, is an Evangelical Charismatic Christian ministry in Accra, Ghana. Our vision is the winning of souls by preaching the Word of God, and developing human capacity through the establishment of a subsidiary ministry, The Soul Factory Ministry, to provide ministerial training to the youth, engaging our youth and members in practical ministry and creating a platform for members to operate their giftings and callings. Our mission is to proclaim the name and authority of our Lord Jesus Christ to all the nations of the world.
This website and the member portal serve that work. Keeping a record of the people who come through our doors is part of caring for them well and of reaching others with the gospel.
2.Information we gather
- What you tell us. Your name, email address, phone number, area, and the details you give at check-in or when you join us: the service you attended, whether it was your first visit, who invited you, the ministry you prefer, and any prayer request or note you leave for us.
- Your place among us. Your membership stage, ministry, volunteer teams, small group, and the notes a shepherd or keeper keeps while following up with you.
- Pictures. A portrait you choose to add to your profile, and photographs or video taken at our services, events and outreaches.
- Words you share. Messages you send in the portal, testimonies you submit, prayer requests, guest feedback, and your replies to us.
- Anonymous website counts. The pages opened, messages listened to and stories liked on this website are counted against a random key kept in your browser. It carries no name, email address or location, and it is not tied to your account.
- Ordinary technical records. Our hosting keeps standard security and reliability logs, which may include device and browser details.
3.How we use it
- To welcome and follow up. A guest who checks in may hear from us, and may be cared for by a keeper or shepherd, because reaching people with the good news of Christ is our calling.
- To shepherd our members. Keeping in touch, remembering prayer requests, and walking with you through the seasons of life.
- Ministry outreach and communication. Inviting you to services, events, campus outreaches and ministry activities, and sharing news about Pleasant Life Chapel and The Soul Factory Ministries.
- To run the church well. Attendance records, ministry reporting, planning for services and events, and understanding which pages and messages are helping people.
- To keep the ministry safe and accountable. Protecting accounts, and honouring the requests you make about your own information.
5.Inside the member portal
Portal accounts are created by invitation, and what a leader can see depends on the responsibilities given to them. The portal shows whether someone is currently online, so that conversations between members and leaders can be timely and warm rather than slow. Files shared in the portal are held privately and reached only through a temporary, expiring link.
Please write in the portal as you would speak in the church office: share what you are happy for the leaders caring for you to read, and hold back the private matters of other people.
6.Website counts
We count visits to the website, messages listened to, and likes on published stories anonymously, by a random key held in your browser rather than by your identity. This shows us which pages, sermons and stories are serving people, and it cannot be used to build a profile of you.
7.Published testimonies
Testimonies are shared from the portal, and a leader or pastor reviews each one before it appears on the website. Only approved stories are published, and your name and portrait appear with the story only as you submitted them. You may ask us to remove a published story at any time, and we will take it down.
8.Emails we send
A welcome after your first check-in is optional, and can be left unsent. When someone writes to you in the portal while you are away from it, we may email you to say a message is waiting. We do not hand your address to any mailing list outside the ministry, and you can ask us to stop contacting you at any time.
9.How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as you are part of the life of the church, and for a reasonable period afterwards so that records of your walk with us remain complete. When you ask us to remove something, we do, unless we are required to keep a record for legal or accounting reasons.
10.Your choices
You may ask us to:
- tell you what we hold about you;
- correct anything that is wrong or out of date;
- delete your details, your portrait or your story;
- stop the messages and invitations we send you;
- exclude you from photographs published in our gallery.
Write or speak to the church office and we will act on your request within a reasonable time. You do not need to give a reason.
11.Children and youth
The Soul Factory Ministries reaches young people and campuses, and we are careful with them. Where a young person is under 18, we involve a parent or guardian before keeping anything beyond a simple record of a visit. A parent or guardian may ask to see what we hold about their child, or ask us to remove it.
12.Keeping it safe
Access to church information is given by role and reviewed, personal portraits and shared files are stored privately, and portal accounts are protected by the sign-in details you hold. No system can be perfectly secure, so please choose a strong passcode and tell the office at once if you believe your account has been misused.
13.Changes to this policy
As the ministry grows, this policy may change. The date at the top of the page tells you when it last did, and we will announce any significant change on the website and to members through the portal.
