Mind Your Thoughts
What you choose determines your reality and what you believe in, becomes a part of you. If you constantly anticipate misfortunes, do not be surprised when you see them come to pass. Same way anyone who wishes good upon himself would definitely enjoy its fruits.
“As a man thinketh, so is he…” (Proverbs 23:7).
You end up becoming and experiencing what you think about yourself; be it good or evil. This is equally proven by science. When you focus your attention on something to happen, it is unconsciously manifested in your life, without any hesitation.
Every now and then, I come across people who are completely different. Some, who prefer to see the world as pitch black, whereas the others focus on its beauty alone. Certain people prefer to pay attention to the negatives of life, while leaving out all its beauty. No matter what good they experience in life, these people prefer to solely focus on its negatives. Their lives mostly become like the pitch black description they attribute to the world.
However, we tend to forget that when we choose fear and timidity over a sound mind, our life and legacy suffers. Everything about anyone who broods fear and low self worth spells out misery but that isn’t what God wants from us.
“God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline” (2 Tim. 1: 7). Therefore, as children of God we are obliged to think like Him. We need to see the world in all its glory and beauty, just as He does. Even if there is a possibility of encountering issues of life that could crush you, you are encouraged to have a mind of Christ( Ephesians 5:1). You are encouraged to think and act like Him.
You were created in the image and likeness of God so it is high time you started believing this and acting on it. Many scriptures draw attention to the power of the mind and I pray you see the beauty behind His words. Whatever you allow into your mind, forms your reality.
